Phil Oles Horizonal Single Cylinder #3 Mill Engine model
This is a Ray HasBrouck designed Number 3, Mill Engine at 1.25x scale with a 1.25 inch bore and 6 inch machined steel flywheel. It is pictured in the book published by Village Press Publications, Traverse City, MI, titled "The Steam Engines of Ray HasBrouck" pages 22, 23 unfinished. Mr. Oles made improvements since that book was published. All parts were machined by Phil Oles except for some fasteners.
Included with the item is accessory shown known as "The Cartwright Mechanism of Parallel Motion". This mechanical movement is shown as #287 in the book "1800 Mechanical Movements" by Gardner Hiscox.
